Crochet Minion Beanie

I’ve never been big into Minions. Cute, funny, lovable? Not to me. I thought they were creepy, annoying and vexing.

But when you become a mom, all the characters that grate you come back to haunt you in the form of movies watched over and over and over and over and over again. So my punishment for my extreme dislike for minions: a son who adores them.

So come Halloween, I threw together a royal blue ensemble, some yellow face paint, and a quickly crocheted Minion beanie.

Like many character hats I’ve come across, none really inspired me (except for these gems), so again, I created my own.

For the hat, I used the base hat pattern from Repeat Crafter Me’s Unicorn beanie pattern, and whipped up my own 3D eye and goggle.
